Track made for the Austin Wintory's 2020 Music Contest.
The idea was to take the audio provided for the contest and to make a new piece of music.

In my case, what I did was make 3 variations of the melody that represent the first three stages of grief. Although the stages are well-differentiated, I try to maintain unity through the harmonics and the melodic contour of the theme.

Since the original fragment had significant harmonic richness, I tried to use those harmonics to generate movement and variety in each section. In addition to using silence as separation, I also use the orchestration/timbre as a contrast between parts.
